Introduction

Once your Qendercore Hub is installed and powered up, you will need to connect it to the internet before being able to make use of many of its features. For some models of Qendercore Hub, an Ethernet cable may be a good option. Otherwise, you will need to connect it to the internet via WiFi via either an AP or via WPS. This document explains the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) setup method. This method is only compatible with WPS enabled Wi-Fi routers. Please note, Qendercore Hubs are only compatible with 2.4Ghz WiFi networks, you may need to enable this in your WiFi router settings if it is not already.

See Qendercore Setup Manual for the most up to date version of any Qendercore Setup Procedures. This document is intended as a short outline of one of the most common parts of the overall Setup process.

Required Equipment

  • DONSTR001 - Qendercore Inverter Hub OR
  • DONSTR002 - Qendercore Mini Hub
  • DONSTR003 - Qendercore DIN Hub
  • Connected to a compatible device:
    • Soltaro Inverter
    • Soltaro Air Conditioner
    • LITIOT Smart Meter

Instructions

  1. On your Qendercore Device, double click the Interactive Button to put it into Setup Mode. This will be indicated by the GREEN MODE LED starting to slow flash.
    1. DONSTR001- Button is located just above the POWER LED
    2. DONSTR002- Button is located in the centre of the hub.
  2. Once in Setup Mode, long click the Interactive Button to activate the Qendercore WPS setup. This will be indicated by the GREEN MODE LED starting to fast flash.
  3. Once the Qendercore Hub is in WPS mode, follow the instructions for the target WiFi router to active WPS pairing mode on the router.
    1.  This could be by pushing a button on the router, or it may require logging into the router’s configuration wizard. Please confirm the process with the router manufacturer if required
  4.  Once both devices are in WPS Pairing Mode at the same time, the Hub should automatically connect to the target WiFi router.
  5. Once the connection is completed, the YELLOW CONNECTIVITY LED should go solid, with only very short blinks. Once this happens, your device is connected to the internet and communicating with the Qendercore servers.

If your Qendercore Hub has been disconnected from the internet for a period of time and/or this is the first time it is being connected to the internet, a software upgrade may happen automatically. This will be characterized by the GREEN MODE LED and the YELLOW CONNECTIVITY LED  flashing alternately to each other. Please leave the hub powered and connected to the internet for the period of the update (usually 5-10 minutes).

Once you have completed this, you may want to Link Devices to your Qendercore Account using QR Code, Hub ID, or Setup Mode
