Introduction
Once your Qendercore Hub is installed and powered up, you will need to connect it to the internet before being able to make use of many of its features. For some models of Qendercore Hub, an Ethernet cable may be a good option. Otherwise, you will need to connect it to the internet via WiFi or via WPS. This document explains the Ethernet connection Method.
See Qendercore Setup Manual for the most up to date version of any Qendercore Setup Procedures. This document is intended as a short outline of one of the most common parts of the overall Setup process.
Required Equipment
- DONSTR001 - Qendercore Hub
- Connected to a compatible device:
- Soltaro Inverter
Instructions
- Pass the Ethernet cable through the weatherproof gland.
- Fit off an RJ45 connector using the T-586B connection standard
- Connect the RJ45 connector to the Ethernet Port of the Qendercore Hub, and twist the weatherproof lockring onto the Ethernet port.
- Tighten the weatherproof gland until it is firm to confirm water can not get in.
- Once network connection is detected via the Ethernet cable, the YELLOW CONNECTIVITY LED will change state. When it is staying mostly solid, the Hub is connected to the Qendercore servers.
If your Qendercore Hub has been disconnected from the internet for a period of time and/or this is the first time it is being connected to the internet, a software upgrade may happen automatically. This will be characterized by the GREEN MODE LED and the YELLOW CONNECTIVITY LED flashing alternately to each other. Please leave the hub powered and connected to the internet for the period of the update (usually 5-10 minutes).
Once you have completed this, you may want to Link Devices to your Qendercore Account using QR Code, Hub ID, or Setup Mode
